I have paid for alllllll of my old collection accounts and I’m just waiting for them to drop off of my credit reports. I’ve been looking into credit repair service on line and wondering if they can actually help. All of the items on my reports are actually MINE and I did actually owe them, but they are all FINALLY paid off. Is there any hope to get them removed quickly?
Do credit repair services work? Which is the best agency to go through?

No matter which one you use check with the BBB not only in your state but the state they have their main headquaters at. Also google them as well. If anything bad comes up any of these will show up. A BBB rating in one state does not mean that they have a good rating in another. I found that out when researching them for my daughter.

I wouldn’t pay someone else to do a job that you could do yourself. It might take a little time and a little patience on your part, but keep at it until those creditors get the stuff removed from your report. If you recently paid things off, you need to wait at least two months for it to be updated on your report. Now, your collections and stuff wont just dissapear from your credit report, but the creditors should update them to show that they have been paid in full. so wait to months, get a copy of your report, and see if there are things that still show as debt you owe. If you have already paid it, contact the creditor and ask them to update it as paid. If they still havent updated in another month or so, then contact the credit reporting agencies, transunion, equifax and experian and do a dispute on everything that hasnt been updated as current and paid in full. good luck.

My best friend got a Bankruptcy removed, I got 9 collections accounts removed, My wife got a $17,232 debt deleted because of false reporting by the bank. A GOOD repair service is GREAT, a crappy repair service is DEVISTATING. Look at THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!!
April 11th, 2009 at 9:53 pmYes; they work; it is best to sign with one that is a non-profit, offers a money back guarantee, and does not charge you each and every month–these firms usually try to milk you for as many months as possible to maximize their revenue.

yes, they do work, but you need to do your own research and decide on what one to work with. Some of those companies haven’t been in business 20+ years because they’re universal failures. You can research them by calling the company you are thinking of using and asking them for references. Granted, you can repair your credit yourself too so make sure to research aspect as well.
